German-based Caseking GmbH acquires Jimm's PC Store Oy from Lounea Oy
Leading European IT-retailer Caseking has purchased Jimm’s PC-Store. Aventum advises the sellers in the transaction.
Jimm’s PC-Store is a prominent manufacturer of customized computers as well as a noted retailer of IT components and consumer electronics in Finland. Headquartered in Turku, Jimm’s PC-Store employs 42 people and had a turnover of 43,4 mEUR in 2017.
Aventum was present in the process from beginning to end; at first advising Lounea on different strategic alternatives regarding Jimm’s and afterwards initiating and leading the sales process to a deal. Considering Jimm’s track record of profitable growth, it was important to find a new owner that could help take the company to the next level. Aventum utilized a broad network to reach potential buyers within the Nordics and across Europe with the aim to find a suitable buyer.
“Jimm’s PC-Store is a strong, well-managed and reputable actor in its fast growing market segment, which made it a highly lucrative asset for the new owner.”
– Juha Ruohela, Aventum Partners
After a competitive process managed by Aventum, the entire share capital of Jimm’s PC Store was sold to German IT-retailer Caseking, with all of Jimm’s personnel staying on board. The acquisition of Jimm’s will allow Caseking to effectively gain foothold in the Nordic markets while Jimm’s will be able to expand its selection through Caseking.
