Fortum Oyj AB has agreed to acquire Ekokem Oyj from Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company, Government of Finland, Helsinki Region Environmental Services Authority HSY, and The Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities.

Fortum Oyj AB, a listed Finland-based company headquartered in Espoo, is an energy group engaged in producing power from nuclear and wind sources.

Aventum acted as adviser to the largest shareholders and sellers.
