CapMan Oyj exits Oral Hammaslääkärit to Colosseum Dental Group, a Switzerland-based provider for dentistry services, and a portfolio of Jacobs Holding AG

Colosseum Dental Group, a Switzerland-based provider for dentistry services, and a portfolio of Jacobs Holding AG, a Switzerland-based investment firm, has agreed to acquire Oral Hammaslaakarit Plc, a Finland-based provider of dental health care services through a chain of dental clinics, from CapMan Plc, a listed Finland-based private equity firm, for an undisclosed consideration.

The transaction will help Oral in its further growth and development, thereby enforcing its ongoing initiatives. The transaction will enable Colosseum to develop a pan- European dentistry platform. Post-acquisition, Mr. Martin Forss, CEO of Oral, and his team will continue to run the business. Colosseum is expected to have sales of around EUR 350m and will operate 2016 clinics in Finland, Norway, Sweden, the UK, Switzerland, Italy and Denmark.

Oral is a private dentistry chain with 63 clinics and sales close to EUR 100m. CapMan, along with Atine Group and Mr. Juha Korhonen, acquired and took private Oral for USD 85.86m in 2014. Jacobs Holding acquired Norwegian Colosseum Smile from IK Investment Partners in January 2017 and later swiss smile Schweiz AG in June 2017 to form Swiss-based Colosseum Dental Group. The transaction is expected to be completed by in November 2017.
